With a sleek, futuristic design, advanced technology, exceptional performance, impressive range and a spacious interior, it’s no wonder the Kia EV6 Air Long Range is proving to be the most popular variant in the brand’s fully electric new model portfolio.

And available with the full Clean Car rebate of $7,015, the Kia EV6 Air Long Range becomes an even more attractive proposition when making the switch to zero-emissions motoring.

“The launch of the EV6 was a game changing moment for Kia,” said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald.

“It was the arrival of a dynamic and eye-catching new model bristling with technology and the capability to do what very few competitors could – transport people in safety, comfort and style more than 500km on a single charge.

“Thanks to its large 77.4kWh battery which delivers up to an impressive driving range of 528km WLTP, it offers driving freedom and removes concerns about range anxiety.

“It is the car which shifted perceptions about electric vehicles and continues to win hearts and minds with its impressive array of future focussed attributes.”

The Kia EV6 Air Long Range showcases a stylish design that sets it apart from other electric vehicles. Its aerodynamic shape, futuristic LED lighting and clean lines exude a sense of style and sophistication, making it one of the most attention grabbing cars on the market – electric or otherwise.

Kia EV6 interior

Complementing its exterior design is an array of innovative features.  From its advanced driver-assistance systems to its state-of-the-art infotainment system, this vehicle is packed with technology.

It includes an intuitive infotainment system with an Integrated 12.3” TFT Colour LCD Infotainment System & 12.3” TFT LCD Dash Cluster, wireless smartphone charging pad, Bluetooth Connectivity with Voice Recognition and a range of driver-assistance features that enhances convenience and connectivity.

The EV6 Air Long Range excels in providing a safe and secure driving experience and incorporates a comprehensive set of safety features to protect both the driver and passengers.

In addition to a five-star ANCAP rating, the Air Long Range features a comprehensive suite of advanced safety features. Standard driver-assistance technologies include Forward Collision Avoidance assistance, Lane Keep assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist (RCCA) and Smart Cruise Control (SCC) with Stop & Go.

The Kia EV6 Air Long Range boasts an exceptional electric range, enabling long distance travel without needing to recharge. It offers one of the most impressive ranges amongst EV’s, 528km WLTP, making it a standout choice for those seeking extended distance driving capabilities.

This amount of range provides the ability to drive Auckland to Rotorua return, Christchurch to Queenstown or Cambridge to Wellington, without the need to recharge during the trip.^

Kia Charging Port

The vehicle features ultra-fast charging capabilities, allowing rapid replenishment of the battery. With its high-voltage charging system, it offers a shorter charging time compared to many other electric vehicles and is capable of a top-up charge of 100km in less than five minutes when using a DC 350kW charger.

It also delivers impressive performance, combining its electric powertrain with precise handling and responsive acceleration. Its electric motor provides instant torque, resulting in an exhilarating driving experience and a 0-100kmh sprint time of 7.3 seconds.

The EV6 Air Long Range offers a spacious and comfortable interior. It utilises Kia’s dedicated Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), providing more cabin space for both passengers and cargo. The flexible interior layout maximises space and ensures a comfortable ride for everyone, the clever design making it one of the roomiest electric vehicles in its segment.

These features make it a compelling choice for those seeking a stylish, high-performing and technologically advanced electric vehicle.

“The Kia EV6 also comes with an international award winning reputation, receiving prestigious awards such as the Red Dot ‘Innovative Products’ award, the Red Dot Awards ‘Best of the Best’ title and European Car of the Year 2022,” said Mr McDonald.

“Here in New Zealand, it has similarly been recognised by Autocar Magazine as their ‘Most Electrifying Car of the Year’ and Drive Life awarded it ‘Eco Car of the Year’ – as well as Overall winner.

“The Air Long Range hits the sweet-spot of attractive aesthetics, impressive performance, leading-edge technology and outstanding driving range.”

Priced from $79,990* (plus on-road costs), the EV6 Air Long Range is available at Kia dealers around the country now and is eligible for a full Clean Car rebate of $7,015.

The Kia EV6 range has a five year/150,000km warranty, five year roadside assistance and eight year/ 160,000km battery warranty.
