New Kia Cerato Now in New Zealand

The all-new Kia Cerato has landed in New Zealand, showing off Kia’s new logo and a whole host of new features.

Bringing a new level of comfort, technology, and dependability from the trusted brand is Kia’s latest model of the Cerato. With stylish upgrades and the all-new logo, the Cerato is taking the streets by storm.

The new Cerato arrives with an impressive pedigree, as it sits comfortably in the top-three Kia models sold globally and is the leading non-SUV Kia model from a sales perspective.” Greg MacDonald, Sales and Marketing Manager Kia New Zealand

New Logo

Kia’s updated logo has gone through a digital rollout, then slowly in stores, and now on vehicles. The Kia Cerato is the first to feature the new logo, and we’re pretty smitten.

“After months of anticipation, it’s exciting to see the new logo on the bonnet of a new Kia,” said Managing Director of Kia New Zealand, Todd McDonald.

“The new logo signifies progression and development, and this is personified in the Cerato, as the new model introduces innovations and enhancements in the areas of style, comfort, safety and performance.” – Todd MacDonald, Managing Director of Kia New Zealand

The Cerato GT

The all-new Cerato GT is an exciting addition to the range. The sports-orientated five-door liftback features a 1.6L petrol turbo engine, generating 150kW of power. With updated LED headlights, taillights, and daytime running lights, the Kia Cerato is enhanced with red accents and dual exhaust tips.

Inside, the D-shape performance steering wheel has paddle shifters, complementing the metallic pedals and heated, ventilated leather sports bucket seats. For the driver, extra luxury is afforded with an eight-way power adjustment and two-way lumbar support with memory function.

With a 4.2” colour LCD Supervision Cluster on the dash and an upgraded 10.25” colour LCD touchscreen for seamless audio and infotainment details, the driver has full access to all the vital data

The GT also boasts a fully independent, sports-tuned suspension and 18-inch alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres. Large 305mm ventilated front discs and 284mm solid rear discs give the GT maximum stopping power.

Comfort All Around

Fear not, details and luxury were not spared in the LX, LX Plus, and Deluxe models. Apple CarPlay™ & Android Auto™ come standard. So does 1,335L of cargo capacity, complete with spacious rear seats.

All Cerato models come with a 4.2″ Colour TFT LCD Supervision Cluster driver information display and, as with the GT model, both the LX Plus and Deluxe feature the 10.25″ Colour LCD infotainment with Touchscreen functionality.

The Deluxe model has a dual-zone air conditioning system, leather trim, and heated front seats.

Kia Cerato Infotainment

The Kia Cerato comes with a 5-star ANCAP rating, allowing you to drive with ease. Updated with a range of active and passive safety features such as Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (with car, pedestrian, and cyclist detection), Lane Keep Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Rearview Camera with Dynamic Guidelines, Parking Sensors, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

The Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist System is a clever feature that uses sensors to monitor vehicles in or approaching the driver’s blind spots. The outside mirrors and dash cluster provides visual alerts and audio is sounded if necessary. The system can intervene and brake if the vehicle detects an impending crash.

Peace of Mind

Finally, you can rest easy knowing all models in the new Kia Cerato range come with a five-year/100,000km warranty and five-year roadside assist programme.
