Kia EV6 Achieves Carbon Trust’s Product Carbon Footprint Certification
The Kia EV6 secured product carbon footprint certification and ‘Carbon Measured’ label from Carbon Trust, the global climate change and sustainability consultancy, becoming the first Korean vehicle manufacturer to achieve the certificate.
Electrification is top of mind for new Kia vehicles, with 11 new battery electric vehicles to be on the market by 2026. With the EV6’s launch (coming to New Zealand soon!), Kia is ushering in a whole new era with a strong start.
Kia has worked hard to measure and reduce the carbon footprint throughout the vehicle’s entire lifestyle. From the acquisition of raw materials to end-of-life recycling, Kia worked in eco-friendly methods and materials, plus and all-new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) making the EV6 one of the leading all-electric ranges on the market.
